   Imam Sulaiman Z Salaam is a community leader and resident Imam of Al-Haqq Islamic Center of Kansas City, Missouri. He considers himself to be a follower of the Prophet Muhammad (G-d’s Peace be upon him), to whom the Holy book Quran was revealed; and a student of the late Imam W.D. Mohammed (G-d’s Peace be upon him also). 

   In the year 2001, Imam Salaam earned the honorary title of “El-Hajj” after completing the fifth pillar of the Islamic faith, which is “hajj” or pilgrimage to Mecca. In addition to serving as Imam of Al - Haqq Islamic Center, Imam Salaam has:

• Served as chair for the Midwest Leadership Team and Conference (both associated with the community of Imam W.D. Mohammed) for the past 5 years; 
• Regularly assisted Imam Bashir Ali in regional and national community matters; 
• Served As Commissioner to a Blue Ribbon Commission By Kansas City Mayor Sly James; 
• Delivered the benediction at the swearing in ceremony for Mayor Sly James’s second mayoral term; and 
• Serves as the Director of M.A.C.A.A., a not-for-profit organization that has partnered with other organizations to sponsor charitable community events in the Kansas City area for more than 20 years.
